2 Android apps to Make sure You drink enough Water

Water is an crucial part of a human body yet majority of people don’t consume enough water everyday which is required for proper functioning of body. Not only that, if you are trying to lose weight or just want to stay healthy in general, it’s crucial to drink at least 8-10 glass of water, that’s what the experts say.

Somewhat blame of not drinking enough water can be put on our busy schedule. I indicate we got so much stuff to do that even 24 hours in a day seems short, who has time to keep count of how much glass of water you’ve drunk, right? Wrong. getting required water supply is crucial and if you don’t have time to do that or just forget to keep count then it would be wise to use your smartphone for that purpose. You have your device on you whenever anyway so why not use it to keep count of how much water you have drunk. here are 2 awesome Android apps that remind you to drink water when it’s time.

Hydro Coach

Hydro instructor is a water intake tracker that, upon installing, asks for some inputs like your age, gender, and weight. using these information, its smart algorithm calculates the amount of water your body needs in a day. You then tell it how much water your glass can hold and based on that it calculates how much glass of water you need to drink in a day. It has a diary-like interface to track your water intake. You setup a tip time and it’ll notify you that it’s time to sip in a glass of water.

It uses graphical representation of your activities. It comes with a basic widget that you can put on your homescreen to easily enter the data without opening the app. It comes with support for Android wear and let’s you share your activities with friends by means of social media.

Water drink Reminder

Water drink tip is the app I’m currently using. Oh, I’ve been using it for past 7-8 months I guess. It’s similar to Hydro instructor in a lot of ways and I guess similarities are bound to occur as both apps do the same function. just like Hydro Coach, you first have to enter some details about yourself and by performing some calculations it tells you how much glass of water you need to drink in a day. You get a drink log and water chart to monitor your activities. You can customize the time gap between each tip or let it stay as default i.e. 1 hour. It also syncs weight data with Google Fit, so that’s a plus.
